Position Overview:
Our client, an online university, is seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing to lead strategic marketing efforts for its high-impact nursing programs (BSN, MSN, and DNP). This freelance role is ideal for a seasoned marketing professional with experience in higher education or healthcare, who can drive brand reputation and enrollment growth through integrated campaigns with a strong focus on digital. 

As the Senior Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies that highlight the university's leadership in nursing education-emphasizing quality, access, and student support. You'll collaborate across departments to ensure marketing efforts are aligned, effective, and optimized for performance. Key channels are: website/landing pages, paid social, email, SMS, organic social, and direct mail.

The role is remote, but there could be longer-term potential for candidates in Chicago, Minneapolis, or Columbia, MD who are willing to work a hybrid schedule eventually.

Key Responsibilities: 
- Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for the university's Nursing programs.
- Collaborate with channel leads (paid media, CRM, SEO, social, influencer) to design and analyze inquiry-generating campaigns.
- Develop and manage content calendars, communication plans, and creative briefs.
- Partner with the Marketing Planner and PM to manage timelines and campaign readiness.
- Oversee marketing budgets and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor campaign effectiveness and deliver actionable insights to improve ROI.
- Ensure creative work meets brand standards and compliance requirements.
- Represent Nursing in quarterly planning, creative reviews, and QBRs.
- Support cross-vertical initiatives that reinforce the client's brand and mission.
- Comply with all University policies and brand guidelines.
- Key Deliverables: Go-to-market strategy per initiative, campaign briefs, message frameworks, creative approvals, performance summaries (with Planner support), and enrollment growth outcomes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required; Master's preferred.
- 7+ years of marketing experience, with 3+ years in higher ed or healthcare strongly preferred.
- Proven success leading vertical-specific marketing in regulated or professional categories.
- Experience managing integrated, multi-channel campaigns from strategy to execution.
- Strong project and budget management skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with both brand and performance marketing expertise.
- Analytical and data-literate; able to interpret metrics and recommend optimizations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, marketing automation, or analytics tools preferred.
