Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our client’s HR team on a temporary basis for 6-12 weeks to support daily HR operations and ensure a smooth employee experience. This role is ideal for an HR professional who can step in quickly, manage multiple priorities, and help maintain consistent HR processes during a busy period. This temporary position offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a collaborative HR team. You’ll gain valuable experience supporting a range of HR functions while helping to strengthen employee engagement and operational efficiency. This is a fully onsite role with a Buffalo Grove, IL manufacturer with a pay rate of $25-32/hr.
HR Specialist Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Support full-cycle recruitment efforts including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating background checks
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure a professional and efficient experience
- Maintain employee records and data accuracy within the HRIS system
- Assist with payroll processing using ADP
- Assist with employee relations documentation and help ensure timely resolution of concerns
- Support benefits administration and open enrollment activities as needed
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal company policies
- Generate and maintain HR reports related to headcount, turnover, and other key metrics
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives in areas such as engagement, training, and process improvement
