Machine Wiring Associate

Coilcraft, Inc., a distinguished organization with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1945, has established itself as a global leader in manufacturing magnetic components. We specialize in producing high-performance RF chip inductors, power magnetics, and filters, with our corporate headquarters in Cary, Illinois. At Coilcraft, we seek a Machine Wirer to join our dynamic team in the custom machine design and Engineering department.

Job Responsibilities:

Mount electrical components and wire automated machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Modify, drill, assemble, and wire control boxes, employing precision and attention to detail.

Solder PC boards and cable assemblies, including intricate high-density connectors, ensuring robust and reliable connections.

Contribute to updating and refining machine documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed electrical drawings.

Construct sophisticated electrical test fixtures, leveraging technical expertise to facilitate comprehensive testing procedures.

Fulfill any additional responsibilities as directed, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to task completion.

Job Requirements:

  • 1+ years of wiring and soldering experience
  • Basic Windows PC Skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to use wire crimping tools and hand tools all day
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and possibly create blueprints with guidance from technicians
  • CAD experience is a plus
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills are a must
