Job Description
Mechanical Designer – support function for design engineering focused on taking 3D designs and converting to 2D drawings
• Mechanical design and drafting of 2D drawings using 3D modeling software
o Preferred knowledge of Siemens NX
• Strong proficiency in applying ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Design for manufacturability
o Collaborate with Design Engineer to effectively communicate design intent to global manufacturing locations
o Knowledge of die casting, injection molding, and machining processes (appropriate tolerancing, draft angles)
• Familiarity with DFMEA process
• Understanding of metrology for design validation
• Comp: $40 - $45 an hour (roughly 85-95k)

Blindmate Interconnect Design Engineer
• Strong mechanical engineering background
o Beneficial to have experience designing blindmate interfaces (electrical or optical)
• Strong proficiency in applying ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Creative problem solving
• Mechanical design using 3D modeling software
o Preferred knowledge of Siemens NX or Solidworks but open to any package
• Knowledge of quick turn prototyping tools such as additive manufacturing
• Fail fast mentality
• Design for manufacturability
o Knowledge of die casting, injection molding, and machining processes (appropriate tolerancing, draft angles)
• Familiarity with DFMEA process
• Understanding of metrology for design validation
