Job Description
Essential Functions- Under administrative direction, serves a Business Intelligence Team Lead for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Business Intelligence Unit of the Illinois State Police (ISP) performing complex professional and advisory functions in Application Services.
- Leads efforts for defining, documenting, and maintaining departmental metadata.
- Provides design and development of complex reporting solutions and performs debugging, tuning, and documenting of all processes and components.
- Interprets complex data and analyzes results using statistical techniques to provide ongoing reports.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience in applications services or a related Information Technology field.
