Job Description

The IT Intern supports the day-to-day functions of the IT Team while learning fundamentals through 
hands-on projects, research, and guided reading. This intern actively receives training from mentors 
within the department, with the opportunity to shadow various roles and work on special projects. This 
is a part-time role (less than 30 hours per week), with flexible scheduling to accommodate class schedules.
The ideal candidate for this program should be a third-year or beyond college student pursuing a major 
in IT or a related field. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
 Shadow and gain an understanding of IT operations, rotating through various specialties to observe 
workflows and team dynamics.
 Assist in the setup and installation of equipment, such as PC’s and laptops.
 Participate in IT support efforts by screening and directing calls, documenting and monitoring 
requests in the support ticketing system, and assisting with writing procedures.
 Contribute to special projects, providing strong research, attending and participating in meetings 
and project tracking, and reporting ongoing progress to the IT Manager.
 Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations to share learnings and recommendations with senior 
leadership.
 Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements 
throughout the internship.
 Assume responsibility for special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
 Current enrollment toward a degree in IT or a related field required.
 Minimum Junior or beyond collegiate experience required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all internship functions.
 Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with 
internal and external customers at all levels.
 A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability 
to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions.
 Research and critical-thinking abilities, with skill to successfully organize work and manage time.
 Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite.
 Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of this position.
 Current driver’s license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage; additionally, 
the ability to drive occasionally in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
 The ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
 Experience working in an office environment preferred
