Job Description
The IT Intern supports the day-to-day functions of the IT Team while learning fundamentals through
hands-on projects, research, and guided reading. This intern actively receives training from mentors
within the department, with the opportunity to shadow various roles and work on special projects. This
is a part-time role (less than 30 hours per week), with flexible scheduling to accommodate class schedules.
The ideal candidate for this program should be a third-year or beyond college student pursuing a major
in IT or a related field.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Shadow and gain an understanding of IT operations, rotating through various specialties to observe
workflows and team dynamics.
Assist in the setup and installation of equipment, such as PC’s and laptops.
Participate in IT support efforts by screening and directing calls, documenting and monitoring
requests in the support ticketing system, and assisting with writing procedures.
Contribute to special projects, providing strong research, attending and participating in meetings
and project tracking, and reporting ongoing progress to the IT Manager.
Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations to share learnings and recommendations with senior
leadership.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
throughout the internship.
Assume responsibility for special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Current enrollment toward a degree in IT or a related field required.
Minimum Junior or beyond collegiate experience required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all internship functions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with
internal and external customers at all levels.
A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability
to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions.
Research and critical-thinking abilities, with skill to successfully organize work and manage time.
Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite.
Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of this position.
Current driver’s license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage; additionally,
the ability to drive occasionally in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
The ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in an office environment preferred
