What You Will Do
- Brand Management & Strategy: Lead the development and execution of communication strategies that support the College of Arts and Sciences' objectives, ensuring alignment with the University's brand, mission, and vision.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with CAS stakeholders, collaborating to identify communication goals and deliver tailored solutions. Serve as the trusted advisor on all communications matters, offering strategic guidance on content and messaging.
- Integrated Communication Plans: Design and implement comprehensive, multi-channel communication plans that include key messages, content creation, and media outreach across digital, traditional, and non-traditional platforms.
- Content Development: Create compelling and engaging content for integrated marketing materials, advertisements, websites, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, and more. Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with CAS and University-wide priorities.
- Tactical Execution: Identify, implement, and evaluate communication tactics and strategies that help CAS meet its goals and maximize impact. Leverage digital tools, media relations, and innovative approaches to ensure visibility and engagement.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with faculty, staff, and administrative teams to develop messaging and content that reflects the College's diverse academic programs, initiatives, and successes.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public relations, advertising, communications, or a related field.
- One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in communications, promotions, public relations, advertising, or event planning.
- Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position, may be required.
Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.
