Job Description
NPI Change Managers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Collaborate with the design engineering, supply chain, operations, and manufacturing engineering team to ensure change is managed in a controlled environment during first build prototype vehicles and continuing through to series production ensuring that all operations functions are ready to execute change. Interact, integrate, and drive results across cross functional teams whilst acting as the voice of the manufacturing plant always ensuring that change is managed as such that manufacturing can consume it. Participate in Engineering Change Request Meetings and Part Concession Reviews to understand the scope of change and determine the impact to manufacturing and production control based on the assessment of the change. Lead various cross-functional Program and Manufacturing Build Change Management Readiness forums to obtain all the data required to execute the change. Provide clear updates on status and recovery plans as necessary at both working and executive level. Develop and communicate overall change timing throughout supply chain and operations while establishing point-of-record for supplier cutover dates, APQP, PPAP, tooling and trial reviews, material exhaustion, and lineside incorporation dates. Guide and direct overall work throughout CM core team, interacting heavily with Engineering Change Analyst and Technician teams. Author change status, summary, and issue resolution tracking reports. Coordinate production trial runs to protect plant operations. Plan, time, and execute minor configuration launches, limiting operations impact. Throughout the LCM process you will look for opportunities to improve the approach to change management and resulting execution accuracy Review materials within commodity/engineering system to ensure part segregation and disposition to protect production.
RQMTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and one year of experience in any occupation involving change analyst, change coordinator, or related. Experience must include working with materials requirement planning software SAP; PLM systems and their interface with MRP; interpreting governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry; and interpreting instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Salary Range: $103,000-$136,000/yr.
