Job Description
Sr. Process Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Work with manufacturing engineering group in equipment design, buyoff, install for all new model launch activities, cell layout, rack design, and PFMEA development. Work manufacturing engineering group in successful runoff of equipment and ensure product and process meet all plant KPIs for mass production. Coach safety, quality, and production on standardized work development. Lead continuous improvement activity and drive problem resolution with cross functional groups including production, quality, engineering, and maintenance. Optimize process to maximize productivity while reducing quality, productivity, and maintenance issues. Lead projects, define project scopes, manage capital budgets. Work with production to outline allocation of resources throughout body. Design fixtures or assemblies needed to support continuous improvement activity on equipment.
RQMTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field. Must have experience or academic training with the following: utilizing problem solving techniques 5W, 1H, and Fishbone; utilizing with DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP and JIRA; using CREO,AUTOCAD, and Enovia for drawing prototype, root cause issue, and product launch; Testing and troubleshooting various vehicle component systems; and diagnosing system failure and creating full proof plan of improvements. Salary Range: $126,000-$167,000/yr.
