Job Title: Latino Community Tax Assistant
Location: 6160 N Cicero Ave, Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60646
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $57,824 per year

Job Duties:

Assist clients, including Spanish-speaking community members, with tax-related questions and document collection.

Prepare and assist in preparing federal and state individual income tax returns (e.g., Form 1040) and related schedules.

Review client financial and tax documents to determine required forms and ensure accuracy and completeness.

Interview clients to obtain needed information on income, expenses, deductions, and credits.

Enter and verify tax data, compute taxes owed or overpaid, and check totals for accuracy.

Maintain organized records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.

Schedule client appointments and provide general administrative support related to tax preparation services.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

12 months of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax preparation.
