Job Description
Our healthcare/bio-pharma client is seeking an experienced Operations Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of internal communications that enhance understanding of critical Operations functions, including transformation initiatives. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to craft compelling narratives and deliver strategic communications that align with organizational goals.
The Basics
- Contract Duration: 12 months
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Location: Must be able to be onsite in a hybrid capacity in Chicago, IL
- Equipment: Standard technology and tools provided by the client
Top 3 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in corporate communications or related roles, with a proven track record of managing complex initiatives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including expertise in emerging communication trends and digital storytelling
Other Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or biopharma industry is a plus
- Strong business acumen and ability to anticipate organizational needs
- Advanced project management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with social media, video content creation, and internal communication platforms
- Ability to collaborate with external agencies and senior leadership
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver communication materials such as presentations, email campaigns, internal articles, key messages, social media posts, and video content
- Establish communication plans with clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables
- Partner with VP-level leaders to create authentic messaging that reflects team impact
- Apply a creative, employee-first approach to digital storytelling and video production
- Manage cross-functional projects in collaboration with external agencies
- Ensure all communications align with corporate brand identity and strategic direction
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
