The pre-season maintenance tasks will be done to machinery during the months when farming duties have halted and the machinery is not in use. List of equipment: trucks, freightliners, hopper bottoms, spreaders, fork lift, peanut combines, John Deere tractors, grain carts, sprayers, planters. All the machines and equipment will go through a thorough inspection, service, and repair process. Each machine will have a manufacturer's annual maintenance procedure that needs to be followed to ensure proper operation of the equipment during the work season. This seasonal post-harvest work process will include the disassembly and reassembly of major components for replacement of bearings, lubricants, filters, parts, worn components, surfacing and welding of cracks. Cleaning of each machine must be done prior to any maintenance work. The work will include heavy lifting of machine parts and holding them in place during reassembly. The worker must be able to handle complex tasks that require logical thought, care, paying attention to details. Drive to town to pickup mechanical supplies.
