Automotive Service Advisor – Job Summary

The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for understanding customer needs, communicating repair and maintenance recommendations, and ensuring a smooth, professional, and positive service experience from vehicle drop-off through pick-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, explaining available services and complimentary vehicle inspections.

  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document repair needs in service orders for technicians.

  • Provide ongoing updates to customers regarding vehicle status, repair progress, and recommended services.

  • Schedule service appointments, open and close repair orders, and process payments accurately.

  • Answer questions from customers and technicians to ensure clear communication and proper expectations.

  • Review customer accounts, update service records, and maintain accurate documentation of all interactions.

  • Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and follow-through.

  • Act as a liaison between customers, technicians, and internal departments to support efficient service operations.
