We have a farming operation where we annually plant and harvest 6500 acres of soybeans and yellow corn. Harvest 4000 round bales of hay per year. We have our own equipment for all facets of the operation including fertilizer spreaders, crop sprayers, farm-trucks to haul grain, planters, combines, grain carts, tillage equipment. We have our own on farm grain storage facility. All storage facilities for machinery and grain have been constructed by our farm personnel. There is a well-equipped shop to complete much of our own repair work. This includes oil changes and preventive maintenance on all machinery. Some extensive repair work such as the overhaul of motors is included. There are bulldozers, track hoe, backhoe and additional equipment for farmland maintenance and repair. Employee will be expected to run several different models of tractors pulling large tillage implements, grain carts, seed tenders and other equipment as needed. Employee will be expected to assist with the maintenance of all equipment. Drive the semi-trucks and haul grain to our facility or the local grain elevator. Mowing and raking hay during the hay season would be expected with a tractor, mower conditioner, and wheel rake. Expected to be able to load and transport large round bales from the field to the storage facility. Farm maintenance including mow and trim of the primary farmstead and field borders with the appropriate equipment. Complete general farm duties as assigned. No commercial truck driving is required. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
