Our farm utilizes seasonal help from spring planting through fall harvest on employer-owned farm. Employees will assist with all aspects of corn and soybean production. Preparing the land for planting starts in February and then planting occurs from April until June. In the summer months, July to September, employees will participate in maintenance of crops and farm. In the fall, harvest and production would start in September and run through November. Other duties will include hauling agricultural commodities from one location on the employer-owned farm to storage on the employer-owned farm as well as hauling agricultural commodities from employer-owned farm to local market as needed throughout the fall, which will account for 10% of the job. Equipment to be operated/driven to/from farms/fields owned or operated by employer may includes but is not limited to semi-trucks. Employees will participate in the mowing of the roadside, handling grain, running the auger cart during harvest. Employees will also assist in swine and swine finishing chores, such as feeding and watering, which account for 10% of the job. Please see ETA 790 Addendum for additional detail/specifics.
