Job duties include: Participate in inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Maintain crops by watering with center pivots and furrow irrigation; Inform farm manager of crop progress; operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery which is ran with GPS to plow, and fertilize soil or to plant; cultivate and spray harvested crops such has corn, soybeans, canola, and wheat; Load inputs and drive trucks to employer's fields; load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, and silos within close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas including the farm shop, grounds, structures and landscaping including mowing; Repair farm buildings, machinery, and other structures as needed; Able to use hand tools. Must be able to obtain medical ID card for driving grain trucks, able to lift at least 75 lbs. Once hired, employee must be able to pass random drug test at no cost to employer. Employee must not drink or smoke during work hours or in equipment. Employee must not use cell phone while operating equipment. Must speak and understand English.
