Warehouse Order Selector
Pay Rate: Up to $19.00 per hourSchedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Interview and Testing Requirements
• All candidates must attend an in-person interview.
• Candidates are required to complete an Ride On Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) skills test.
Resume Requirements
• Documented experience operating a ride-on Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ).
• Order picking and order packing experience.
• Familiarity with inventory, receiving, and using handheld scanners.
• All employment gaps must be explained in the resume.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting, labeling, and palletizing products for customer orders using a ride-on Electric Pallet Jack. The role includes transporting completed pallets to the dock for shipment. Work is performed in environments with varying temperatures. Attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate a ride-on Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) to navigate warehouse aisles and select products.
• Pick items for customer orders according to pick sheets or scanner instructions.
• Label and organize products for accurate order fulfillment.
• Palletize products securely for safe transport and delivery to the dock area.
• Use handheld scanners to track inventory and order progress.
• Assist with receiving and inventory management as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area by following all safety procedures and protocols.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience, including ride-on EPJ operation.
• Experience with order picking, packing, inventory, receiving, and scanner use.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
Professional Skills
• Ability to operate a ride-on Electric Pallet Jack safely and efficiently.
• Attention to detail for accurate order selection and labeling.
• Strong organizational skills for palletizing and staging orders.
• Basic computer and scanner literacy.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Demands
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier items with assistance.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and twisting throughout the shift.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely for extended periods.
Working Conditions
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
• Occasional overtime as required to meet operational needs.
• Work in environments with varying temperatures (including refrigerated and dry storage areas).
• Adherence to all safety protocols and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
