Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring for Buyer in Brimfield, ILAs a Buyer you will:
As a Buyer you will work with the team quoting and purchasing material, services and shop related items to support the manufacturing operations of manufacturing of specialty off-highway vehicles and other heavy equipment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Identify and vet new and potential suppliers
- Process purchase orders (PO's) in a timely manner
- Manage the purchasing of external steel fabrications, steel cut components, outside processes, and bronze components
- Complete purchases for made to print items
- Verify purchase orders (PO's) are processed correctly and in a timely manner
- Follow-up with vendors
- Cultivate relationships
- Navigate within Infor ERP
- Support purchasing team in researching, analyzing, and forecasting buying trends.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years prior buyer experience or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance
- Basic understanding of heavy equipment service or manufacturing
- Basic understanding of business-to-business commerce
- Prior procurement experience a plus
- APICS Certification a plus
- Infor experience a plus
- Must have the ability to think on your feet and pivot when needed
SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Salary Range*: $55,000-$65,000 per year
*Salary range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
