Overview
Situated within the Corporate Affairs function, the Associate Analyst, Issues Media Monitoring and Reporting will be part of the Center of Excellence for Media and Issues Communications, and responsible for executing monitoring and reporting on issues impacting PepsiCo’s reputation and business.

This is a hybrid role based in Purchase, NY or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities
* Execute issue monitoring activities for external communications team and PepsiCo leadership, including: sharing relevant breaking news, providing coverage analysis and reporting on issues, maintaining search term list and subscriptions, collaborating with data and reporting team and/or agency partners during crisis moments
* Deliver timely, actionable data-driven reporting during crisis levering full PepsiCo Communications tech stack for comprehensive analysis.
* A mix of long-term and short-term issue monitoring delivering a mix of daily, monthly and quarterly reporting on issues impacting PepsiCo globally.
* Partner on the creation and curation of a multiple time a day, high-quality issues news clip reports;
* Support broader issues communications work, including managing incoming media inquiries, assisting with issues tracking and creation of reporting materials, and support daily, ad hoc and quarterly issues reporting work;
* Leverage reporting tools and technologies to drive efficiency into issues reporting.
* As needed, collaborate with agency partners on corporate communications projects and deliverables.

Compensation and Benefits:
* The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,600 - $123,150.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree required in relevant field (Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing)
* 1+ years of relevant experience in an agency, press office, corporate communications or public affairs office and/or media outlet
* Demonstrated experience in media coverage analysis and reporting
* Proficient with media monitoring and reporting technology
* Data-minded and savvy with leveraging data to story tell
* This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:
* Team player with a collaborative, inclusive style
* Highly responsive, with the ability to maintain effective decision making while working in a global, highly visible, fast-paced environment
* Avid consumer of media and interest in current events and issues affecting the food & beverage and consumer packaged goods industry is a plus
* Ability to work, network, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
* Demonstrated proactive, resourceful, can-do work ethic
* Proven track record of initiating, organizing, and managing projects effectively and working within cross-functional teams
* Ability to work on multiple projects with organization and urgency to drive deliverables that are efficiently created and require minimal editing.
* Ability to work outside of normal business hours, as needed
