Job Description
Staff Material Flow Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Develop large-scale supply chain and logistics processes from external warehouses to assembly line in partnership with production control, packaging planning, inbound logistics, factory design, and manufacturing engineering. Detail process design including value-stream, logistics, routing, and warehouse design. Implement material flow equipment. Develop models to analyze the cost, throughput, and space factors for part sequencing, material batching, intermediate storage locations, and other material flow strategies. Plan, manage, and communicate project schedule ensuring alignment to overall program milestones. Responsible for and ensure safety, quality, cost, timing and throughput targets are achieved on all projects with high quality work and rapid project deployment.
RQMTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a closely related field. Must have experience or academic training with utilizing data visualization tools; layout planning using 2D or 3D AutoCAD design platforms; using data-based development of end-to-end supply chain, logistics, and/or material flow processes; working with supply chain or material flow engineering; gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions; and identifying and implementing improvements to processes, workflows, and operations to enhance efficiency and productivity. Salary Range: $118,000 - $167,000/yr.
