Job Description
The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance across the bank. This role works closely with management and the Risk Department to identify areas of risk, ensure adherence to policies and procedures, and support the overall integrity of bank operations.
Position location - Carbondale Main, 301 E Main Street, Carbondale, IL
Skills Required
Degree in related field or equivalent experienceMinimum one year of job-related experience required
Proficient in Excel and Word
Strong understanding of banking operations, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to communicate audit findings professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
