Job Description
Staff Industrial Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Develop work instructions, standardized work, process flows, and process documentation IDs to ensure the manufacturing process is being followed. Responsible for product and packaging reviews to evaluate process impact and provide feedback on the build sequence, process time analysis, and investment requirements. Review, interpret, and summarize statistical data. Work closely with the Operations team and Production Control team to optimize material flow and line layout. Perform line balancing activities to improve team efficiency. Perform time analysis using a standard motion time system (MODAPTS), estimate production times, staffing requirements, and costs. Manage conversion cost improvement activities and overall plant efficiency gains and coordinate with the team to determine and introduce the optimum plant layout, equipment, tooling, and racking in General Assembly to achieve maximum efficiency. Responsible to complete documentation of activities and develop and review production procedures.
RQMTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience in any occupation of Technical Lead, Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer or related. Experience must include working with PLM data management in windchill and Team center; 3D modeling software Creo and Delmia; Ergo validation by Vis jack; working with Kaizen, 5S,Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma; utilizing Lean Assembly Principle; and Engineering Change Management in ERP system. Salary Range: $115,000-$152,000/yr.
