Job Description
Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities for Formic robotic cells in customer sites. Coordinate and execute inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks on robotic-centric manufacturing cells in the field. Systematically diagnose technical issues, apply standard resolution tactics, and repair equipment with consistency. Demonstrate passion about robotics-centric automation, be energized by the variety of manufacturing settings, and use troubleshooting and maintenance skills to meet and exceed customer expectations. Proactively identify potential problems and provide solutions, instilling customer confidence in Formic service. Provide detailed service reports that list the Issue, root cause analysis (RCA) and solution. Lead RCA activities with a team of engineers and technicians across the team. Effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders from operators to senior management and executives. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Mentor junior or newly hired Field Service Engineers and Technicians as needed. Coordinate onsite schedule (self, vendor, and when applicable, other technicians) in alignment with customer expectations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies, as well as a clean and safe work environment. Up to 80% of domestic travel required.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s** degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in job offered, or Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, or in a related occupation.
**In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent, employer will accept two (2) years of additional related work experience. Employer will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience.
Annual salary: $136,552–$136,553/yr.

Education or experience in:
Academic training or work experience in the following:
- Robotics Automation
- Fanuc, Kuka, Yaskawa, ABB, and Universal Robots robotic cells
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Root Cause Analysis
- PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, or Siemens)
- Industrial networking and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, and Modbus)
- Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics (AutoCAD or Solidworks)
