Job Summary

The Manager of Board and Presidential Events is responsible for the planning and execution of complex, high-profile events—involving University Leadership, trustees, and distinguished guests—on behalf of the Office of the Board of Trustees and the Office of the President. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Board Governance and Engagement and Associate Board Secretary.

 

*Note: Must be available to work early mornings and/or evenings throughout the calendar year

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the planning and execution of meetings and events hosted by the Board of Trustees and/or the University President
  • Ensure cross-functional event alignment (e.g. run-of-show and briefing documents, space and logistical summaries, staffing plans, production schedules)
  • Partner with the Special Events team within the Office of Alumni Relations and Development to align on planning and execution for select events
  • Conduct site visits and secure venues on and/or off campus for meetings and events
  • Contract and coordinate third-party vendors (e.g. catering, audiovisual, security, etc.)
  • Partner with Supervisor to manage event budgets
  • Gather post-event feedback and identify areas of opportunity
