Job Description
Conduct intake assessments and provide short-term therapy in individual and group settings with a specific focus on LGBTQ, Mandarin speaking, and other multi-lingual and international students; perform substance abuse and eating disorder assessment and treatment; perform empirically supportive treatment for anxiety, depression, and perfectionism;. Provide psychological assessments, intakes, crisis intervention and management, triage, daytime walk-in emergency service and assume after hours on call responsibilities for daytime and evening emergency services. Consult with parents, physicians, faculty, academic deans, residence life staff and off-campus counseling services. Participate in clinical supervision and training experiences for doctoral trainees. Conduct case management and consultation for trainees. Consult with Psychiatrists in conjunction with prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medication for psychotherapy patients. Develop and implement outreach preventative programs and providing programs to students who may have English as a second language.
