As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Representative in Plainfield, IL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $19.73 / Hour

How This Role Works:
+ Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
+ Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, verifying credentials, and supporting access control activities at a logistics and distribution location.
+ Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or shipping documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site policies.
+ Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and delivery records, communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals and departures, and support traffic flow at gates and receiving areas.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, loading areas, and the perimeter as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
