Job Description

Our CPG client is looking for an Amplience SME to support a unification project for their global commerce platform. This is a 6 week project starting the week of June 8th. The hours will scale down every two weeks, starting at 40 the first two, 30 for the next, and 20 for the last two weeks. This is fully remote, but must be able to work Central Time hours. A huge plus for those local to the Chicago area. 

You MUST have your own workstation with Figma to be considered. 

The Amplience SME serves as the content management system expert, ensuring that UX-driven designs translate seamlessly into platform implementation. You will bridge the gap between experience design and CMS configuration, defining content structures and governance that enable scalability and modularity.

Key Responsibilities
-Review CMS configurations to understand current content structures and governance 
-Collaborate with UX Designer to translate experience designs into content model recommendations 
-Define content structure, schema requirements, and component mappings 
-Design content configurations that enable market-specific variants and feature toggles 
-Ensure CMS configuration supports planned feature enhancements and future capabilities 
-Document how design system components map to CMS content components 
-Establish content governance model that supports modular architecture 
-Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure CMS aligns with designed interaction patterns 
-Validate that variant configurations function as intended without design drift 
-Document content authoring workflows and governance for ongoing operations 
-Provide CMS-related support during implementation phases

Requirements
-Expert-level knowledge of Amplience (or equivalent headless CMS) architecture and configuration 
-Deep understanding of headless CMS concepts and how content structures enable frontend flexibility 
-Experience designing modular, reusable content models for multi-market, multi-variant scenarios 
-Ability to translate UX requirements into technical content specifications 
-Strong collaboration skills; experience bridging design and engineering teams 
-Knowledge of content governance, workflow management, and content operations at scale 
-Understanding of e-commerce content patterns (product information, pricing, localization) 
-Ability to document complex content models and processes for non-technical stakeholders

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
