Job Description:
+ Either 5 8 hours shifts or 4 10 hours shifts, starting at 630am, with call hours as well
+ Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures. Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
+ Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
+ Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
+ Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
+ Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Interpersonal Skills
- Completion of validation skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques
- Knowledge to anticipate critical emergencies of Specialty Call Team
- Ability to organize, promote, and conduct relevant in-services on unit
Education:
- Associate [Preferred]
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Technical/Vocational School [Required]
Field of Study:
- N/A
Work Experience:
- 2+ experience as certified surgical tech [Preferred]
- Proficient in a minimum of 2 surgical specialties [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] OR
- Technician in Surgery – Certified (NTSC) [Required]
