Do you enjoy physical labor? Are you looking for a full-time long-term position? We can help! We are looking for a Construction Worker! To be a successful Construction Worker you will need to be able to:
- Assist with installation, unloading, and handling of precast concrete elements (beams, walls, panels, stairs) on construction sites and at fabrication yards.
- Safely operate and assist with heavy equipment and tools (hoists, cranes, rigging, forklift, saws, grinders) in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA/local regulations.
- Read and interpret job sketches, plans, and precast connection details to ensure correct placement, alignment, and embedment, including lifting inserts, connection hardware, and joint detailing.
- Assist with placement of precast elements using cranes, slings, and lifting gear; monitor load paths and ensure loads are secure before movement.
- Perform quality checks on precast components, verifying dimensions, tolerances, grout/epoxy gaps, and embedment locations; report any defects or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized site and adhere to safety protocols, including PPE usage, fall protection, restricted access zones, and proper handling of concrete and chemicals.
- Participate in material handling, inventory, and staging of precast elements, electrodes, anchor bolts, and related accessories; assist with weather protection and curing procedures as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by documenting tasks, assisting with punch lists, and following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for precast operations; maintain a professional, cooperative work attitude.
