Job Description

Accountant in Bloomingdale, IL. Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 24 months of experience in the job offered / as an accountant.

Wage: $61,152.00/year.

Duties:

- Maintain and review financial records for import-related transactions, ensuring accurate recording of freight, duties, tariffs, and taxes.

- Prepare financial reports and cost analyses on import operations, including reconciliations of expenses related to shipping, customs clearance, and distribution activities.

- Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, including invoices from overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, and payments from retailers.

- Monitor and analyze import costs, conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual expenses, and recommend cost-saving strategies.

- Support budgeting and forecasting by providing financial projections related to inventory, procurement, and distribution planning.

- Ensure compliance with financial controls and audit requirements, maintaining organized and auditable records of international trade and distribution activities.

- Provide management with financial insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability in import and distribution operations.
