Job Description
Design and implement a season plan and daily practice plans for a group of ~50 swimmers (ages 8-12).
Implement a swim program that promotes progression and teaches swimmers about the sport and sportsmanship.
Give constructive feedback to swimmers. Administer and report the results of team-wide test sets throughout the
season as they are required. Complete meet entries that ensure proper stroke and skill development in all areas of
competitive swimming. Attend all meets in which swimmers participate, guiding them through warmup, advising
them on race strategy, and offering constructive feedback after each race. Proactively communicate with parents as
needed. Identify swimmers who are ready for the next step, and share that roster with the Director of Competitive
Swimming at the end of each season, or when necessary. Coordinate and execute the filming of swimmers at
practices and meets for the purpose of stroke and race analysis. Coordinate the planning, developing, and
publishing of content and communications on the team website, in team newsletters, and on social media.
Schedule and plan private lessons and clinic offerings. Schedule coaches and staff to run lessons and clinics. Track
and submit coach/staff hours to the Office Manager for payroll.
