Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Technician

Job Description

The role involves performing a variety of light mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment, following exact specifications and working to close tolerances. You will use fixtures and simple hand and power tools to carry out your duties. Additionally, you will be responsible for remanufacturing operations including disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning, and inspection of small dispensing units and major subassemblies. This position offers a flexible schedule, working four days a week with potential additional hours as required.

Responsibilities

+ Perform light mechanical and electrical tasks using hand and power tools.

+ Work to exact specifications and close tolerances.

+ Conduct remanufacturing operations such as disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning, and inspection.

+ Utilize fixtures and tools effectively.

+ Interpret color coding for basic wiring.

+ Distinguish between various metals for sorting.

Essential Skills

+ Experience using hand and power tools.

+ Basic math ability.

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

+ Basic computer, mechanical, and plumbing experience.

+ Ability to read blueprints.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 6 AM to 4 PM, with occasional Fridays for additional hours as needed. The position requires standing for up to 10 hours. Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Roscoe, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 – $16.50/hr.
