Job Description
Job Duties: Provide quality instructions on Thai classical dances. Organize classes, create lesson plans, teach Thai dance lessons, and evaluate students. Students ages range from 3-year-olds up to adults. Promote the Thai Cultural and Fine Arts Institute. Responsible for performances.
Prepare appropriate dance programs, select performers, and costumes. Maintain the costumes to be ready for performances. Assist with the Institute fundraising by managing the Thai dance performances at the fundraising events.
Travel: 15% of travel required to participate in cultural exhibitions, performances, school outreach programs, and national festivals in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Madison and Milwaukee in Wisconsin, where the teacher represents the Thai Cultural Institute to promote Thai heritage and arts.
Job Requirements: Two years of work experience in the Job offered or as a Thai Dance Performer or related. Some work experience required with Thai classical dance costume preparation.
