Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Machine Operator  (Temporary On-Going Need)

 

Summary: Operate the AOI machine to inspect SMT PCB assemblies

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out First Article inspection to verify SMT job set up
  • Inspect SMT PCB Assemblies and mark defective boards for repair or rework
  • Notify Engineering of re-occurring incorrect error codes so they can be corrected
  • Maintain accurate daily log sheets to track products through the AOI machine

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:    

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to standards and procedures
  • Previous experience working in an ISO 9001 Electronics Manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of SMT components
  • Previous experience inspecting SMT PCB assemblies
  • Working knowledge operating an AOI machine and familiarity with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing/production floor environment
  • May require sitting or standing for extended periods during inspections
  • Use of microscopes, magnifiers, and small tools daily.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.

 

It is an on-going need but the selected person will be employed via CES’ staffing partner and not an employee of CES.

 

Starting Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00 Hourly
