Stockroom Floater  (Temporary – On Going Need)

Creative Electronics and Software (CES) is a privately owned (started in 1989) Contract Electronics and PCB Manufacturer with manufacturing locations in South Elgin IL and Las Vegas NV.  We support a diversified customer base that includes: RFID, energy conservation, medical equipment, military, wireless telemetry, gaming & entertainment, smart grid, and industrial controls.

Summary:

The Stockroom Floater is a flexible support role designed to assist multiple areas of operations, with primary responsibility in stockroom kitting. This position is expected to shift between stockroom, receiving, and inventory control functions based on daily business needs. While duties vary, clear priorities ensure production support remains the primary focus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Stockroom / Kitting (Primary Responsibility):

• Pick electrical components to fulfill production kits accurately and efficiently
• Prepare, stage, and deliver kits to the production floor
• Maintain organization and accuracy of stockroom inventory locations
• Assist with stocking and replenishment of inventory
• Support production needs by ensuring materials are readily available

Receiving Department Backup (As Needed):

• Assist with unloading incoming shipments
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips
• Enter received materials into inventory systems or required documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area
• Provide backup coverage as needed

Cycle Counting / Inventory Control (As Assigned):

• Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
• Identify and report discrepancies
• Assist with reconciliation and inventory adjustments
• Support periodic and annual inventory activities

Floater Expectations:

• Rotate between roles and departments based on operational priorities
• Provide support wherever workload demands are highest
• Adapt quickly to changing tasks with minimal supervision

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform general stockroom and warehouse duties
• Assist with loading/unloading when required
• Complete basic clerical tasks (labels, data entry, etc.)
• Follow all safety and operational procedures

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities

Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift 30–50 pounds
• Standing for extended periods
• Exposure to varying warehouse/production environments

This is an on-going need but the selected person will be employed via CES’ staffing partner and not an employee of CES.

Starting Pay: $15.00  Hourly
