POSITION TITLE: Economic Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION: Conduct economic research, prepare analytical reports, and formulate data-driven strategies to address economic issues related to the production and distribution of goods and services, as well as matters involving monetary and fiscal policy. Perform quantitative and qualitative economic research to assess economic problems related to supply, distribution, and policy-driven market behavior, and prepare formal analytical reports and planning recommendations. Duties include: Conduct economic research and quantitative analysis to evaluate issues affecting the production, distribution, and pricing of goods and services for client engagements; Analyze monetary and fiscal policy developments and assess their impact on client industries, markets, and business operations; Compile, construct, manage, and analyze economic and statistical datasets using econometric and quantitative modeling techniques; Develop and apply economic and statistical models to forecast market trends, demand patterns, cost structures, and financial outcomes for clients; Perform economic impact analyses, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to support client decision-making and strategic planning; Evaluate the socioeconomic and regulatory impacts of proposed or existing legislation, regulations, and public policies on client operations; Prepare professional consulting deliverables, including technical reports, economic assessments, policy analyses, and client presentations; Provide economic advice and consultation to private and public-sector clients regarding economic risks, opportunities, and market conditions; Formulate data-driven recommendations, strategies, and policy options to address identified economic problems and interpret market behavior.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Applied Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related field, and two (2) years experience in economic analysis, consulting, research, or quantitative data analysis.
Must have experience with:
- Economic and econometric modeling and quantitative analysis
- Economic impact and cost-benefit analysis
- Market, policy, and regulatory economic analysis
- Economic data management and statistical analysis
- Professional economic reporting and client consulting communication
