Covia is looking for a dynamic Maintenance employee who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Technisand Wedron, IL location.
The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:
Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on production equipment and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
Examines, tests, and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records data on appropriate forms.
Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
Examines defects and analyzes spoilage causes and, where possible, takes corrective action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily maintenance report.
Conveyer Belt Repair and regular Maintenance
Clean, repair, and rebuild pumps, cylinders, solenoids, and air valves
The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of Bearings
Ambitious and self-motivated worker
Able to prioritize work schedule to execute in order of importance
Must be able to cut and weld (stick, mig, oxy/act, plasma, etc.)
Electrical experience is preferred
Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools, read blueprints, service bulletins, etc.
Willingness to work rotating shifts if necessary or stay over shift if needed.
