We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fleet Manager – Truck Driver to oversee the day-to-day operations of our fleet and ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership with hands-on driving experience, playing a key role in maintaining high operational standards while ensuring the safety and well-being of drivers.

Job Responsibilities:
Fleet Management:
● Oversee the scheduling, dispatching, and route planning for a fleet of 10+ trucks.
● Monitor and maintain the fleet’s compliance with legal, safety, and operational standards.
● Manage and track vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring regular inspections, repairs, and upkeep to maximize fleet performance.
● Keep detailed records including fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance costs.
● Prepare and deliver quarterly IFTA reports.
● Compile, organize, and deliver weekly paysheets utilizing Microsoft Excel.
● Coordinate and communicate with brokers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
● Ensure the fleet complies with all regulations, including local, state, and federal transportation laws including DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and safety protocols.
● Supervise and manage a team of truck drivers, ensuring they are trained, compliant with safety protocols, and motivated.
● Assist in resolving driver issues or conflicts and provide timely solutions.
● Ensure drivers follow company policies, including safety regulations, driving hours, and reporting standards.
Driving & Operational Support:
● Drive a tractor-trailer truck to transport and deliver products including livestock, crops, and products ensuring timely, safe, and efficient transportation.
● Maintain accurate logs and records of hours, deliveries, and vehicle conditions.
● Communicate well with attendants upon loading and unloading.
● Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues or maintenance needs to the fleet team.
● Clean equipment as needed.
● Must be able to sit for long periods of time, read, and follow directions.
● May travel nationally three weeks at a time, maximum 11 hours in a 24 hr period.

Requirements:
● Must be 21 years of age or over.
● Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
● Minimum 2 years fleet management experience.
● Previous experience in fleet management or logistics.
● Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
● Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and DOT guidelines.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
● Must hold a valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
● Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, if necessary.
● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Suite products including Excel.
