Job Description
Senior Design Engineer: Job Duties: Perform lead role in design, development, and validation of mechanical components and structures used in large earthmoving equipment, aerospace and off-road machinery using CAD techniques, such as AutoCAD, ProE/CREO. Lead resolution teams comprised of analysts; engineering leads; design and valuation engineers, and materials specialists. Organize design changes with cross-functional teams. Identify problems with existing designs and devise methods and approaches to resolve issues by applying knowledge of engineering structures, and Finite Element Analysis. Design and validate heavy equipment parts and assemblies relating to sheet metal, structures, weldments, hydraulics and engines. Evaluate product concepts to identify potential problems. Prepare necessary 3D modules utilizing AutoCAD, ProE/CREO.
Requirements: Master's or equivalent in Engineering (any) or related, and 1 year of experience in the job offered or as a/an Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or in a related occupation. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's or equivalent in the above-stated fields plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the above-stated occupations. Position is based out of 3008 W. Willow Knolls Dr., Peoria, IL 61614 and may require relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States. Rate of Pay: $131,227.00/year.
