Job Description

Monitor GPS system to track drivers’ location at all times. Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required, according to work orders or specifications. Receive or prepare work orders, communicate with brokers to arrange times for shipments, and schedule deliveries. Prepare daily work and run schedules. Dispatch truck drivers with booked loads, monitor and reply to all emails from brokers. Advise drivers about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, weather conditions, or other hazards, and plan drivers’ routes accordingly. Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules. Identify and handle any problems that may impede pick-ups and deliveries and come up with solutions. Inform customers and brokers about freight specifics, delivery or pickup schedules, and special handling requirements.

Must have 1 year experience with each of the following: Google Maps; Samsara; Motive; and DAT boards.
