Job Description
Offering $25 to $40 per hour
Lincare is currently seeking aRespiratory Therapist / Nurseto join a growing team. This employee is responsible for the setup of home medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and/or other related equipment. The employee will also educate and train patients on the proper usage of prescribed equipment.

Job Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment that includes, but is not limited to CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and/or mechanical ventilators
Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently
Review prescription and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration, compatible with physician orders
Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards
Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed
Frequency is determined by center size and number of employees available to share
Work Experience
Level 1 - Familiar with equipment and services provided in the home healthcaresetting, or other patient care, Required
Level 2 - Minimum of two years in home healthcare, Required
Level 3 - Minimum of three years in home healthcare
May be involvedin training of other Healthcare Specialists, Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
excellent human relations to interface with doctors, other referral sources, andpatients
computer literate
clinician authorized within scope of practice (as established by applicable state lawor if none, by the applicable national board) to provide all patient care services offered by Lincarefrom time to time
Subject to state law/regulation, RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs, and other clinicians may alsobe qualified for this position
If applicable, based on the requirements of state, in addition to avalid state license, current National Board of Respiratory Care Credentials may also be required for
CRTs and RRTs.
Subject to State requirements and management approval, on an exception basis,
a person may be hired that does not meet all the above certifications and training, but practices respiratory therapy as authorized by applicable state law
Licenses and Certifications
Must have completed all training/educationrequired to obtain requisite certification,registration, and/or license described below,Required
Must remain certified, registered, orlicensed by the applicable state and/or
national board governing clinicalpractice or as otherwise permitted by law
In all states, CRTs and RRTs are qualifiedfor this position,Required
