Overview
The Crisis Intervention Engagement Technician provides community-based outreach, engagement, and crisis intervention services for individuals experiencing untreated mental health, substance use, or co-occurring challenges. This position works closely with individuals in non-clinical settings, supporting stabilization, safety planning, and connection to appropriate services. The role is scheduled Sunday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, and requires collaboration with another staff member for most shifts.

Responsibilities
- Provide community-based crisis intervention, outreach, engagement, and stabilization services, including safety planning and linkage to mental health and/or substance use treatment.
- Promote the recovery model of care by utilizing trauma-informed practices that emphasize hope, empowerment, wellness, respect, and self-directed recovery.
- Complete all required documentation and data entry in accordance with program, funder, and agency requirements, including treatment/recovery/safety plans and progress notes.
- Maintain timely and accurate records, ensuring treatment/recovery/safety plans are completed onsite and documentation is submitted within required timeframes.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with consumers, natural supports, hospitals, jails, emergency medical services, and community partners.
- Attend required supervision, staff meetings, trainings, and program development activities, including CRSS training and Chestnut-mandated education.
- Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence by adhering to organizational behavioral standards.
- Protect the confidentiality of all consumer and organizational information.
- Provide backup support to team members and complete other duties as assigned.
