Position Summary:

We are seeking a technically proficient and driven Senior Technical Business Developer to lead customer engagement for our sub-transmission portfolio, focusing on 72.5-145 kV Dead Tank Circuit Breakers. This hybrid role bridges product management and sales, ensuring our f-gas-free, digital-ready DTB solutions meet evolving utility needs and position us as a market leader. This position reports directly to the Product Marketing Director and functionally to the Global Portfolio Management of Grid Components.

This is a remote position. Candidates can be located anywhere in the US, with preference for Cary, NC or Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

Market strategy & growth - Drive U.S. subtransmission market expansion by developing new utility/EPC/OEM opportunities, shaping gotomarket plans, and securing product homologation.

Technical leadership - Act as the primary technical interface, leading configuration discussions, advanced feature evaluations, and presales solution design.

Standards & industry influence - Ensure IEEE/ANSI compliance, represent the company in industry bodies, and help shape evolving technical specifications.

Partnerships & product innovation - Build strategic ecosystem relationships while channeling customer insights to guide product evolution, digital integration, and sustainable SF6free technology adoption.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering field required.

10+ years of experience in high voltage equipment, preferably with circuit breakers or other key substation components.

Deep understanding of sub-transmission applications and utility processes in the US.

Proven experience in technical sales, product management, or business development.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with vacuum interrupter technology and SF6-free solutions/regulation.

Familiarity with IEEE/ANSI standards for high-voltage products.

Ability to travel up to 30% - domestic and international - may be required.
