Job Title: Warehouse Associate

First Shift 6:00am – 2:30pm M-F

Second Shift 2:00pm – 10:30pm M-F

Job Description

The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in daily warehouse operations by accurately picking customer orders, loading and unloading trucks, and handling materials throughout the facility. This position operates sit-down and stand-up reach forklifts to move pallets, scans packages and inventory to maintain accurate records, and performs a variety of general warehouse tasks, including occasional manual unloading of light boxes.

Responsibilities

+ Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently throughout the warehouse.

+ Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling when needed.

+ Operate sit-down forklifts and stand-up reach trucks to move and organize pallets.

+ Pull pallets off shelves and stage them for shipping, receiving, or production.

+ Scan packages, pallets, and inventory to maintain accurate warehouse records.

+ Support shipping and receiving activities, including order picking, packing, and material handling.

+ Manually unload light boxes, such as paint brushes, and stack them on pallets when required.

+ Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment in designated areas.

+ Perform general warehouse tasks as assigned to support production, distribution, and inventory control.

Essential Skills

+ Previous forklift experience, including safe operation in a warehouse environment.

+ Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.

+ Ability to operate a stand-up reach truck or willingness to train on reach equipment as needed.

+ Experience with order picking and packing in a warehouse or distribution setting.

+ Basic experience with warehouse inventory processes, including scanning and tracking materials.

+ Material handling experience, including loading, unloading, and pallet movement.

+ Ability to use pallet jacks for moving pallets within the facility.

+ Comfort working in a production and distribution environment with paint and chemical smells.

+ Ability to work 2nd shift hours (approximately 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.) and adjust to occasional schedule changes during holidays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 – $19.50/hr.
