Shift Details:

Dental Hygienist Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
+ Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
+ Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
+ Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
+ Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
+ Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
+ Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
+ Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Current, valid, and unrestrictedIL license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
+ Certified Dental Assistant.
+ Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.
+ Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Associate’s Degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required).
+ BLS certification.
+ X-ray training or certification.
+ Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
+ Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
