Job Description

Sumida America Inc. seeks Staff Accountant in Schaumburg, IL. Duties: Conducting financial reporting, including ledger account sub-schedules, Transfer Pricing (TP) adjustment, manufacturing inventory valuation, tax compliance, external audits, internal audits, and preparation of financial statement of subsidiary and consolidated financial statements; Processing TP adjustment calculations, billing, and TP documentation, including inter-co transactions TP, manufacturing TP, commissions, and interest; Processing monthly balance sheet account sub-schedules and reviewing them using Cost Center (CC) and Profit Group (PG) expenses coding in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; Processing manufacturing inventory monthly valuation, including standard cost and actual cost revaluation, including Net Realizable Value (NRV) and reserve; Processing manufacturing fixed assets depreciation, addition registration, and disposal entries; Preparing tax related account schedules; Preparing audit related account schedules for external audits, internal audits, and Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley (JSOX) audits; Preparing journal entries and month-end closing for parent company; Preparing consolidated financial statements for the U.S. region; Assisting in creating monthly segment reports, operating expenses analyses, and budget plans; Assisting in Treasury-related banking transactions processing; Assisting in reviewing local accounting policies and guidelines; and Assisting in various ad-hoc reports and all areas of accounting. Requires a Bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in accounting, accountancy, finance, or related field. Requires 2 years of experience in the job offered or in auditing. Requires xperience with Preparing audit papers per GAAP; Preparing financial statements and disclosures; Participating in audit and risk assessments; Evaluating and testing internal controls per J-SOX; and Performing audits for automotive clients. Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel (China and Japan). Salary: $76,544 to $85,000/Year.
