Job Title: HistotechnologistJob Description
We are seeking an experienced histotechnician or histotechnologist with a strong background in life sciences. The ideal candidate will independently execute histology workflows and translate observed user workflow performance into objective validation evidence. This role involves hands-on histology execution, controlled documentation, protocol/report writing, and supporting DHF remediation activities for histology workflow consumable products.
Responsibilities
+ Execute histology workflows independently.
+ Translate user workflow performance into objective validation evidence.
+ Conduct hands-on histology execution.
+ Maintain controlled documentation and write protocols/reports.
+ Support DHF remediation activities for histology workflow consumable products.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in embedding, staining, and validation protocol.
+ Strong knowledge in histology, H&E staining, and ASCP standards.
+ Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology, biomedical science, medical laboratory science, histotechnology, or a related life science.
+ HT certification or equivalent histology laboratory experience.
+ 2+ years experience in a regulated industry working with design control documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Independent competency in embedding, microtomy, routine staining, slide quality review, and troubleshooting artifacts.
+ Experience with tissue processing, paraffin embedding, sectioning, H&E staining, reagent handling, and slide evaluation.
+ Experience supporting method development or process characterization.
Work Environment
The position operates on the first shift. The work environment involves spending 50% of the time in the laboratory running tests and 50% on documentation.

This is a Contract position based out of Hebron, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $60.00/hr.
