Job Description

Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, ensuring accurate reporting of revenues, expenses, and assets related to interstate freight trucking operations. Prepare, and analyze accounting records and financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with accepted accounting procedures and regulatory requirements. Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences, including transactions related to fuel costs, maintenance expenses, insurance, and vendor payments. Develop and maintain budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs for transportation and operational activities. Process invoices for payment, reviewing supporting documentation for expenses associated with trucking services, equipment, and operational vendors. Report to management regarding the finances of the establishment, providing financial information to support operational and business decision-making.
