Job Description
Duties: Organize, develop and implement the companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality and appropriate analytics/techniques are maintained so that data can effectively support business processes. Apply data mining and data modeling to extract and analyze information from large datasets using statistical software. Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues. Structure and conduct analyses to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses. Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality. Adhere to data governance standards and procedures. Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data. Recommend remediation of process or control data gaps that align to management strategy and provide automated solutions to deliver analytical capabilities and enriched data to applications. Develop techniques supporting trending and analytic decision-making processes. Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices. Perform and work with data management, data lineage/metadata, data controls, and data flows/process flows.
Requirements: Masters degree in CS/CIS/IT/Technology/ Business Administration, MIS, or related field with 6 months in Data Analyst/ Engineer/ Data Scientist/Developer or related field is acceptable. In lieu of Masters degree, Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Science, Computer Science, CIS, MIS, Information Technology, Engineering (any), Business Administration or related with 5 years of progressive IT experience as a Computer/ Engineering professional. Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience such as Software Engineer, IT Consultants, Programmer, Network Admin/System Analyst is acceptable.
Work location: Warrenville, Illinois and various unanticipated clients throughout the USA requiring relocations and travel to these sites. All travel requirements are limited to locations within the United States and its territories. The position does not require or anticipate international travel or permanent relocation outside the United States. The proffered Data Analyst position may require travel to client locations within the United States as dictated by project specifications and client requirements. Such travel is integral to the normal duties of the occupation within the information technology consulting industry. The variable nature of travel requirements described herein reflects standard industry practices within the information technology consulting sector, where personnel deployment is project-driven and client-specific.
