Job Description
Plan, direct, coordinate transportation, storage, and distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and government law or regulations. Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, and shipping goods. Plan, organize, or manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements. Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management. Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes. Resolve problems/issues concerning transportation and logistics systems, such as truck repairs, city stickers, license plate stickers. Responsible for all shipping and routing of trucks and van, including scheduling drivers. Perform employee performance reviews, conduct disciplinary actions and discussions and maintain proper documentation. Manage route changes, delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations. Oversee and plan budget. 2 years experience as operations manager in any freight related business. Bachelor's degree in any field.
